How GCI’s Labels Help Soupergirl Grow

Starting a business without a formal background can be daunting, but Soupergirl’s Sara Polon exemplifies how belief and perseverance can lead to success. Together with her mom, Sara embarked on a journey filled with challenges, from finding the right partners and suppliers to continually growing their team of 26 employees.

Initially, Soupergirl faced significant issues with their label provider, including poor quality materials and a lack of creativity. It was during this time that Sara met Peter with GCI. Reflecting on the meeting, Sara shared, “Peter pointed out the issues with our current labels, diagnosed the problem, gave us solutions, and we never looked back.”

GCI’s dedication to excellence has been evident throughout their partnership. Since 2019, the company has been instrumental in Soupergirl’s success, including a crucial rebrand. Sara reflected on one memorable instance when Peter rushed the first batch of labels and met her halfway in a parking lot in Annapolis

Sara emphasizes personal service as the most valuable aspect of working with GCI. “We appreciate working with another family business, and there is a real difference there. The responsiveness, priorities, and understanding of the unique needs of a small business are unparalleled,” she said. “GCI has consistently come through in times of crisis, often accomplishing what seems impossible.”

To anyone considering a partnership with GCI, Sara’s advice is clear: “They always over deliver. They always get it done for us. We are so grateful.”
